Gamebook legend Jonathan Green has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for his latest ACE Gamebook.
100 Aker Wood is a brand new interactive folk horror novel, inspired by A. A. Milne's Winne-the-Pooh stories, Pet Sematary by Stephen King, and Mythago Wood by Robert Holdstock.
Green says,
"Winnie-the-Pooh was first published 100 years ago this October. And so, in the year of the book's 100th anniversary, I have written an ACE Gamebook inspired by A. A. Milne's much-loved creation, that takes as its subjects both grief and guilt, and tells a story in 100 sections that I have called... 100 Aker Wood.
After a day of launch the campaign has already reached £4,609 of its £5,000 goal, with stretch goals reaching up to £15,000.
Backers at top levels get collector's hardback editions and even their name with an epitaph on a tombstone within the book. Watch the promo video for the campaign below.
